Sri Aadhi Ganapathy Temple
The Kumbabishegam of Urulikal Sri Aadhi Ganapathy Temple is to be held on May 1, 2025.
Sri Aadhi Ganapathy Temple
Urulikal Sri Aadhi Ganapathy Temple is a sparkling white structure in the midst of lush green tea gardens all around. Situated at a height of 3800 feet above sea level, the air is fresh, the weather is comfortable and soothing right through the year and the atmosphere serene and elevating. A gentle stream of crystal clear natural water flows across in front of the temple for most months in the year; flows into a large span of water in the valley down below, almost like a mini-sea created by the Sholayar dam.
The Temple is facing East and the rise of the morning sun from behind the hill in front and brightly shining on the Pillaiyar in the Temple is spell binding. The large and tall trees in front add a divinely magnificence. All, truly captivating and bewitching!
In the Garbhagruha is seated majestically Sri Aadhi Ganapathy as Mummoorthy (Three idols) ceaselessly showering his bountiful Blessing on his devotees - near and far. In front of him in the Mandapam is his Vahana, Mooshika. Behind him in the North-West corner of the Mandapam is Nagaraja. Providing Viswa Roopa Darsanam of the Mummoorthys are the three large tall trees on the hill in front of the Temple directly opposite the Mummoorthys!
Download the sacred Aadhi Ganapathy Pamalai for the blessed recitation of Vinayagar's holy names. This revered Pamalai was composed by Mrs. Jayalakshmi Srinivasan.
