HOW TO REACH?

The Aadhi Ganapathy Temple is at Urulikal Estate (which belongs to Tata Coffee) which is 17 kms from Valparai Town. There is no stay facility at Urulikal, but there are many Lodges/Home Stays at Valparai. We can stay at Valparai and visit the Temple at Urulikal - Autos charge Rs.350/- per one round trip. There are also buses but not very frequent.

From Pollachi, TAMILNADU

State Transport Buses to Valparai depart every 30 minutes/60 minutes from Pollachi Bus Stand throughout the day from 5.00 am. The journey is 3 hours. (65 kms incuding 40 kms of ghat section with 40 hair-pin bends). By Car about 2 hours and 15 minutes. At Pollachi, there are two bus stands adjacent to each other - the Valparai buses start from Valparai/Palakkad Bus stand (Opposite the BSNL Telephone exchange) Buses may go to different destinations in the Anamalais such as Mudis, Shekalmudi, ChinnaKallar,Akkamalai, etc, but they all go through Valparai which is clearly indicated in all buses. At Valparai, the bus stops at 4 locations; please get off the bus at Gandhi Statue from where you could get Auto Rikshaws for local travel. We can reach Pollachi either from Coimbatore (Buses every 5 minutes) or from Dindigul, Palani, Udumelpet (Buses every 15 minutes)

From CHALAkudy, kerala

There are 2 buses every day departing at Chalakudy Private Bus Stand at 6.15 am and 1.15 pm. The journey is 5 hours (106 kms of picturesque ghat road passing through Athirapally Falls). By Car about 3 hours and 30 minutes.
