State Transport Buses to Valparai depart every 30 minutes/60 minutes from Pollachi Bus Stand throughout the day from 5.00 am. The journey is 3 hours. (65 kms incuding 40 kms of ghat section with 40 hair-pin bends). By Car about 2 hours and 15 minutes. At Pollachi, there are two bus stands adjacent to each other - the Valparai buses start from Valparai/Palakkad Bus stand (Opposite the BSNL Telephone exchange) Buses may go to different destinations in the Anamalais such as Mudis, Shekalmudi, ChinnaKallar,Akkamalai, etc, but they all go through Valparai which is clearly indicated in all buses. At Valparai, the bus stops at 4 locations; please get off the bus at Gandhi Statue from where you could get Auto Rikshaws for local travel. We can reach Pollachi either from Coimbatore (Buses every 5 minutes) or from Dindigul, Palani, Udumelpet (Buses every 15 minutes)
